Our textured landing treads are milled with new state-of-the-art equipment. Landing treads are available in standard sizes or can be custom made to your specifications. Textured landing treads are also available in almost any other hardwood species. We offer four texture options on all our wood landing treads, including hand-scraped, wire brushed, sawcut, and distressed. All our wood stair parts, including Textured Landing Treads, can be ordered unfinished or prefinished with our Tread Coat Varnish, a very durable two-component, commercial grade conversion varnish, specifically made for high traffic areas. We can also stain your textured landing treads with a standard stain color or apply a custom stain of your choice, using our stain match service. Textured Landing Treads are custom made-to-order. All orders revised or cancelled after going into production, (approximately 2 or 3 days after order is received), will have a restocking fee of up to 50%.
We offer our Hickory Textured Landing Treads with a depth of either 3-1/2" or 5-1/2", a length up to 120", with a body thickness of either (1/2"), (9/16"), (5/8"), or the standard thickness of (3/4"). All Landing Treads have an overhang on one side measuring 1-1/4" deep, and 1" thick.
The standard 3/4" thick landing tread is the only size with a groove to fit standard 3/4" hardwood flooring.
Depth sizes are overall, including the depth of the overhang.
Because each piece of wood has its own unique character, grain and color will very from sample images shown.
Hickory Textured Landing Treads will ship within three to five weeks.
Hickory is the hardest, heaviest and strongest American wood. The sapwood of hickory is white, tinged with inconspicuous fine brown lines while the heartwood is pale to reddish brown. Hickory is coarse-textured and the grain is fine, usually straight but can be wavy or irregular. The wood can be sanded to a good finish. Hickory grain pattern welcomes a full range of medium-to-dark finishes. We use only the higher quality grades of hickory lumber for our products.
