Additional Features
The standard cutting boards come with square corners and have a 1/8" radius on all edges. A water-resistant glue is used for all boards.
Our cutting boards are pre-treated with the standard option of mineral oil or with a natural plant based oil (fractionated coconut oil). We can make unfinished cutting boards if you prefer your board unfinished. You also have the option of adding a juice groove or finger slots.
Hardwood Lumber Company cutting boards are of the best quality available. Most of our woodworkers are from the local Amish community.
Caring for Your Cutting Board
It is recommended that you clean the board with a damp cloth and reapply another coat of butcher block oil or butcher block conditioner before using your cutting board for the first time.
Wood cutting boards require regular maintenance to remain functional and beautiful for years to come. Wash your board with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly after every use. Apply food grade mineral oil and board cream about once a month or as needed to keep the wood from drying out. The mineral oil and cream will create a protective moisture barrier and prevent the wood from warping.
