I used the purchased butcherblock to restore a mudroom bench. The bench was nice with a metal frame but the original top was some type of composite trash and delaminated when some rain came in the window above it. No worries with the butcherblock, It has 7 coats of varnish and looks great. Nice product, delivered as described. I would have added a pic but do not see a way to do that.

First one arrived with a crack and some marred portions of the top. They agreed to send a replacement. Second one arrived with more marring around the edges (bad routing) and on top that required sanding. Email to customer service ignored this time.

We ordered a bartop and a countertop for our back bar and they are absolutely beautiful. We had a sink cut out and it was done exactly to our dimensions. I was a little nervous purchasing on line without seeing it in person but so happy we did. Hoping to enjoy many years of enjoyment from our new bar area!

Had an unique and very specific need for a hardwood plank. No local company or mill could provide or inexpensively set up to produce a one off plank. Through an extraordinary quirk of chance I came across Hardwood Lumber's online catalog where I found this "second" piece of hardwood in your catalog. It measured 20" x 46" x 1 1/2" precisely the specs I required (and it was milled and finished). All things considered, Hardwood Lumber's asking price was incredibly reasonable. Three sections of Hardwood Lumber’s Brazilian Cherry wide plank counter tops now grace our run of dining room cabinetry and two bars. Also, the work good a couple weeks longer than estimated and the delivery company didn’t notify us (as promised) when the delivery was scheduled for a as no one was home, they left the top (well wrapped and on a pallet) in the driveway. Fortunately the weather was good and no damage was done.
Ordering a 70"x20" red oak buffet top was easy and clear. It was stained and clear-coated at the Hardwood Lumber Co. It's this top the makes the buffet cabinet an excellent-looking furniture - like frosting on the cake. This saved me a lot of time and since I could not joint and plane a 20" wide top, I will be a returning as a customer for next project needing a beautiful top.

I purchased the African Mahogany butcher block for my kitchen island and was thrilled that I could customize the size to fit my existing island, which I loved but needed a new top to match my newly stained floors. The piece arrived within a few weeks and was stunning in appearance. However, I had ordered the salad bowl finish, and it seemed like there was no finish applied at all—the surface felt rough to the touch. I tried using light sandpaper, but the surface quickly became rough or "fuzzy" again when exposed to any moisture, even from just wiping it down. I reached out to customer service, and after reviewing the photos I sent, they provided me with a finishing kit that included 180-grit sandpaper and an oil finish - polymerized linseed oil and beeswax. After about 30 minutes of work and applying the solution, the surface was finally smooth and properly repelling water as expected. Additionally, Hardwood Lumber refunded a significant amount for their oversight, which I greatly appreciated. Overall, I’m very pleased with the butcher block now. It looks and performs beautifully, and the customer service was responsive and helpful in resolving the issue.
