Rustic Hickory Wide Plank Countertop Details

Our wide plank countertops are made using random width planks that run the full length of the countertop. Hickory is a hard wood with superior durability. It creates a rustic look that is perfect for the kitchen or dining room. Hardwood Lumber Company’s wide plank countertops do not have any butt joints or finger joints. Our Countertops are made with a good top surface and four good sides. This means the bottom surface might have imperfections. Selecting the High-Grade Bottom Surface option allows you to have the bottom surface be the same grade as the top surface and four sides.

Please Note: Because each piece of wood has its own unique character, grain and color will vary from the sample images shown. All wood countertops are custom made to order. All orders revised or cancelled after going into production (within 24 hours after order is received) will have a restocking fee of up to 50%.

Warranty Information: Please carefully read all warranty information, including installation instructions and timeframe.

Hickory Countertop Options

Sizing

We can make custom Rustic Hickory wide plank countertops up to 1-3/4” thick, 84'' depth, and 138" long.

Finish

Choose a finish for your countertops, including many food-safe options.

Edge Detail and Texture

Give your countertop a unique character with our various edge detail and texture options. If you prefer to have your countertop sanded smooth and have no texture, be sure to select NONE in the Texture Options.

Wire Brushed texture works best on wood with an open grain, such as Hickory. On other tighter grain wood species the Wire Brushed Texture will not have the same effect and will not be as visible.

Available Cuts and Countertop Prepping

To make it easier to install your countertops, our craftsmen can add a variety of cuts and prepping. We even offer custom CNC cuts.

Shipping Information

All wood countertops are custom made to order. Shipping may vary depending on your customization options. Please provide for a standard lead of 2 weeks for processing, milling, and shipping of countertop orders.

Note: Lead times may vary based on order volume and seasonal demand. Please contact our sales team online or by phone at 1-800-798-1269 for questions regarding current order lead times.

Hickory

Hickory is the hardest, heaviest and strongest American wood. The sapwood of hickory is white, tinged with inconspicuous fine brown lines while the heartwood is pale to reddish brown. Hickory is coarse-textured and the grain is fine, usually straight but can be wavy or irregular. The wood can be sanded to a good finish. Hickory grain pattern welcomes a full range of medium-to-dark finishes. We use only the higher quality grades of hickory lumber for our products.
