Handcrafted Hardwood Media Console

TV stands from big box stores are made from flimsy pressboard that never lasts. Over time they warp, sag, and break. At The Hardwood Lumber Company, we believe true craftsmanship should stand the test of time. So we’ve crafted a modern media console that will last for decades. 

Great for TVs up to 55”, our media console combines modern style and an open design with premium quality hardwood sourced from America’s Appalchian region.

Standard Wood Media Console Option Details

Our standard media console picture above is constructed from beautiful rustic cherry hardwood with a durable acrylic polyurethane finish. 

The top shelf is 1 ¾” thick while the two lower shelves measure 1” thick. The all metal welded base that holds the whole stand together is high quality stainless steel with a black powder coat finish. More details are outlined below.

A Wood Media Stand For The Modern Home

Traditional  media consoles are large, bulky, and cumbersome. Meanwhile, today’s entertainment center has shrunk. Streaming devices fit in the palm of your hand; TVs are thin and light; surround sound systems fit into a soundbar. With living space at a premium, our craftsmen combined traditional quality with modern design. 

Featuring a 50.5” wide by 18.5” top shelf and two shorter 48” shelves, our console can fit:

• A 55” or smaller television

• A Sound Bar

• A Cable Box

• A Blu-Ray Player

• A Video Game System

• Video Call Device

An open media stand also saves you from the aggravation of trying to run the various power cables and cords through small cutouts or holes either.

Standard Sizing Details

We can customize your solid wood TV credenza to any size you need, but our standard sizing is:

• TV Stand Height: 35.75 inches

• Top Shelf Length & Width: 50.5 inches x 18.5 inches

• Middle Shelf Length & Width: 48 inches x 18.5 inches

• Lower Shelf Length & Width: 48 inches x 18.5 inches

Our standard sizing is made with wide plank rustic cherry and then coated with an acrylic polyurethane finish. We recommend acrylic polyurethane because it’s a durable long-lasting no maintenance finish.

If you’d prefer, we can also leave the wood unfinished, and you can choose to finish it at home or leave it unfinished for a raw unfiltered finish.

All of our wood furniture is custom made to order. Shipping may vary depending on your customization options. Please provide for a standard lead of 4-6 weeks for processing, building, and shipping of furniture orders.
