Our Butcher Block Cutting Boards are made with the finest solid wood, so they are able to withstand scratches and marks better than other cutting boards. The Birch lumber makes for an attractive piece in your kitchen when not in use.
Please Note: Because each piece of wood has its own unique character, grain and color will vary from the sample images shown.
All cutting boards are custom made to order. All orders revised or cancelled after going into production (within 24 hours after order is received) will have a restocking fee of up to 50%.

Choose your desired thickness for your cutting board. Options range from 1 inch to 4 ½ inches.
Our Butcher Block Cutting Boards come pre-finished with your choice of food grade mineral oil, fractionated coconut oil, or salad bowl finish. You can also order your cutting board unfinished.
We offer these additional features for all Butcher Block Cutting Boards:
Juice groove to catch drips
Feet (wooden bun, black silicone, or clear silicone)
Our Standard Edge Grain Cutting Boards have square corners and a ⅛” radius on all edges.
Upon receiving your order, it is recommended that you clean the board with a damp cloth, then apply another coat of Hardwood Lumber Company Butcher Block Oil or Butcher Block Conditioner before using your cutting board for the first time. A water-resistant glue is used on all of our Butcher Block Cutting Boards.
Most of our woodworkers are craftsmen from the local Amish community, providing great attention to quality and detail at every step throughout the manufacturing process.
All cutting boards are custom made to order. Shipping may vary depending on your customization options. Please provide for a standard lead of 1 to 2 weeks for processing, milling, and shipping of birch cutting board orders.

Birch sapwood is creamy white to yellowish, while the heartwood is reddish brown. Birch has a straight, close grain and a fine, even texture. The wood of birch is heavy, hard and strong. Birch takes stain extremely well. We use only the higher quality grades of birch lumber for our products.
