Inspired by a deceptively important piece of Frank Lloyd Wright furniture. Made in 1902–3, it is nearly three feet tall but only 15½ inches square, giving it the proportions of a slender architectural column. Its white-oak construction and disciplined rectangular geometry translate Wright’s Prairie-style architecture into furniture: the stand organizes space rather than merely occupying it.

The stand is made entirely of white oak—a dense, strong hardwood with a pronounced grain. Its strength allows the stand's slender members to support a heavy ceramic pot. The visible surface has a warm brown tone, with almost no carving or applied ornament. The decoration comes from the oak grain, the proportions, and the repeated right angles.

This new stand from HLC Furniture is crafted in richly figured oak, this tall plant stand reinterprets Frank Lloyd Wright’s Prairie-style geometry through strong horizontal planes, slender vertical supports, and an airy open frame. A broad square top and recessed lower shelf provide useful display surfaces, while the warm finish, rhythmic spindles, and precise joinery give the stand an architectural presence.
