Made by using the finest solid Maple wood, these Butcher Block Cutting Boards are practically indestructible. Our Standard End Grain Cutting Boards have square corners and a 1/8" radius on all edges, and are pre-treated with the standard option of Mineral Oil, or we also offer a natural plant based oil (Fractionated Coconut Oil), or our Tried and True Salad Bowl Finish. Upon receiving your order, it is recommended that you clean the board with a damp cloth, then apply another coat of Hardwood Lumber Company Butcher Block Oil or Butcher Block Conditioner, before using your cutting board for the first time. You can also order your cutting board to be shipped unfinished, if you prefer to not have your product sealed with Mineral Oil. Additionally, we also offer the option for a Juice Groove and Finger Slots. Hardwood Lumber Company Butcher Block Cutting Boards are of the best quality wood cutting boards available.
A water-resistant glue is used for all our Butcher Block Cutting Boards.

Hard Maple sapwood is creamy white with a slight reddish brown tinge and the heartwood varies from light to dark reddish brown. Hard Maple has a close fine, uniform texture and is generally straight-grained. Hard Maple is hard and heavy with good strength properties, in particular its high resistance to abrasion and wear. We use only the higher quality grades of Hard Maple lumber for our products.
