Your live edge piece is a unique natural treasure, and simple care will preserve its beauty. Protect the surface by using coasters for drinks and immediately wiping up any spills with a soft cloth to prevent water spots or stains. Dust regularly with a microfiber towel, which will effectively capture dust from the surface and any natural crevices. For cleaning, use a gentle approach; a solution of diluted white vinegar and water applied with a damp (not wet) microfiber cloth is ideal. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners. Periodically, you can enhance the wood's luster and provide protection by applying a quality wood conditioning cream, buffing gently to a beautiful sheen.
White Oak
White oak sapwood is light-colored and the heartwood is light to dark brown. White oak is mostly straight-grained with a medium to coarse texture, with longer rays than red oak. White oak therefore has more figure. We use only the higher quality grades of white oak lumber for our products.
