White Oak Edge Grain Countertop Details
White Oak is a lighter colored wood with a mostly straight grain. We use the highest-quality lumber in our White Oak butcher block. Our countertops are made with 1" wide edge grain strips. Solid wood strips go the full length of our butcher block countertops, giving them a better look and more durability than blended butcher blocks.
Please Note: Because each piece of wood has its own unique character, grain and color will vary from the sample images shown. All wood countertops are custom made to order. All orders revised or cancelled after going into production (approximately 2 to 3 days after order is received) will have a restocking fee of up to 50%.
Warranty Information: Please carefully read all warranty information, including installation instructions and timeframe.
White Oak Countertop Options
Enhance the look of your home with a fully customized white oak butcher block countertop. Here are the different customization options available.
Specify the exact dimensions you need for your countertop. We can make White Oak Edge Grain Butcher Block Countertops up to 4-1/2" thick, 84" wide, and 162" long.
We can finish your White Oak countertops with a food safe material like mineral oil, or we also offer other options such as acrylic polyurethane, polyester, and poured epoxy. Choose whether you want a stain and be sure to take advantage of our custom stain match service.
Edge Details and Texture
Make your countertops stand out with intricate edge details or an added texture. We offer various options to enhance the look of the wood. If you prefer to have your countertop sanded smooth and have no texture, be sure to select NONE in the Texture Options.
Wire Brushed texture works best on wood with an open grain, such as Oak. On other tighter grain wood species the Wire Brushed Texture will not have the same effect and will not be as visible.
Cuts and Countertop Prepping
We now offer the option for sink cutouts, stove cutouts, and other custom cuts. We will also prep your countertops with angle cuts and joint prepping to make installation easier.
Our countertops are sanded and maintained perfectly on top, while the bottom is left in a potentially rough state, untouched, because when installed, it will never be visible.
All wood countertops are custom made to order. Shipping may vary depending on your customization options. Please provide for a standard lead of 5-8 weeks for processing, milling, and shipping of countertop orders.
White oak sapwood is light-colored and the heartwood is light to dark brown. White oak is mostly straight-grained with a medium to coarse texture, with longer rays than red oak. White oak therefore has more figure. We use only the higher quality grades of white oak lumber for our products.
