Wood Landing Treads

The Hardwood Lumber Company manufactures high quality landing treads, also known as stair nosing, in 3-1/2 inches and 5-1/2 inches wide, and a length up to 8 feet long.

Our landing treads are 1 inch thick, and rabbeted to 3/4 of an inch thick, with a groove to fit standard 3/4 inch hardwood flooring. The standard overhang of our nosing is 1-1/4 inches. We take craftsmanship seriously, and it shows in our hardwood landing treads. We use state-of-the-art equipment to craft stair nosing in standard sizes or that can meet your specific customization needs.

All our wood stair parts, including wood landing treads, can be ordered unfinished or prefinished with a tread coat varnish. This is a very durable two-component, commercial grade varnish, specifically made for high traffic areas.

We can create custom landing stair treads in nearly all of the species of hardwood that we have available. We’re also able to texture the wood to a variety of styles including:
