The Hardwood Lumber Company manufactures high quality textured stair risers at affordable prices. You will be very happy with the quality of our Textured Quarter Sawn White Oak Stair Riser. Our textured stair risers are milled with new state-of-the-art equipment. Quarter Sawn White Oak textured stair risers are available in standard sizes or can be custom made to your specifications. Textured stair risers are also available in almost any other hardwood species. We offer four texture options on all our wood stair risers, including hand-scraped, wire brushed, sawcut, and distressed. All our wood stair parts, including textured stair treads and textured risers, can be ordered unfinished or prefinished with Tread Coat Varnish, a very durable two-component, commercial grade conversion varnish specifically made for high traffic areas. We can also stain your textured stair treads and risers with a standard stain color or apply a custom stain of your choice, using our stain match service. Choose from our standard sizes or contact us for a custom wood stair riser quote. Our standard stair risers are 3/4" thick x 8" deep. Stair risers over 48" long may be slightly oversize with uneven ends.
All Textured Stair Risers are custom made to order. All orders revised or cancelled after going into production, (approximately 2 to 3 days after order is received), will have a restocking fee of up to 50%.
Our Textured Stair Risers are sanded and maintained perfectly on top, while the bottom is left in a potentially rough state, untouched, because when installed it will never be visible.
Because each piece of wood has its own unique character, grain and color will vary from the sample images shown.

Quarter Sawn White Oak
Quarter sawn white oak displays dramatic medullar figure called flake or fleck, and you'll see this used in antiques, mission style furniture, hardwood flooring, and more. White oak sapwood is light-colored and the heartwood is light to dark brown. White oak is mostly straight-grained with a medium to coarse texture, with longer rays than red oak. White oak therefore has more figure. We use only the higher quality grades of quarter sawn white oak lumber for our products.
