The Hardwood Lumber Company manufactures high quality textured stair risers at affordable prices. You will be very happy with the quality of our Textured Soft Maple Stair Riser. Our textured stair risers are milled with new state-of-the-art equipment. Soft Maple textured stair risers are available in standard sizes or can be custom made to your specifications. Textured stair risers are also available in almost any other hardwood species. We offer four texture options on all our wood stair risers, including hand-scraped, wire brushed, sawcut, and distressed. All our wood stair parts, including textured stair treads and textured risers, can be ordered unfinished or prefinished with Tread Coat Varnish, a very durable two-component, commercial grade conversion varnish specifically made for high traffic areas. We can also stain your textured stair treads and risers with a standard stain color or apply a custom stain of your choice, using our stain match service. Choose from our standard sizes or contact us for a custom wood stair riser quote. Our standard stair risers are 3/4" thick x 8" deep. Stair risers over 48" long may be slightly oversize with uneven ends.

All Textured Stair Risers are custom made to order. All orders revised or cancelled after going into production, (approximately 2 to 3 days after order is received), will have a restocking fee of up to 50%.

Our Textured Stair Risers are sanded and maintained perfectly on top, while the bottom is left in a potentially rough state, untouched, because when installed it will never be visible.

Because each piece of wood has its own unique character, grain and color will vary from the sample images shown.

Soft Maple Textured Stair Risers ship within three to four weeks.

Soft Maple

In most respects soft maple is very similar to hard maple. Generally soft maple sapwood is greyish white. The heartwood varies from light to dark reddish brown. Soft Maple is usually straight-grained and has low shock resistance. Soft maple is about 25 percent less hard than hard maple. The soft maple we use for our products is selected for a white color. We use only the higher quality grades of Soft Maple lumber for our products.
